The Fifth: A Tribute to Five Years of Guts and Glory
Five years ago, Coziest was just a vision—an idea sparked by a passion for streetwear and the vibrant energy of the streets of Manila. Fast forward to October 2023, and we proudly unveil "The Fifth," a collection that pays tribute not only to our creative journey but also to the relentless grit and glory that shaped who we are.
To celebrate this monumental occasion, we kicked things off with our first-ever fashion show at The Baked Studios in Yakal, Makati. It was more than just a runway—it was a statement, a chance to take our craft from the underground scene and introduce it to the mainstream with bold confidence. This was our moment to showcase what Coziest is all about.
But this event was not just about the clothes. From the very beginning, the heart of Coziest has always been the people who make the magic happen behind the scenes. So, we made sure to honor them in the show’s intro—the sewers, the printers, and every worker whose dedication and hard work brought us to this moment. This tribute set the tone for the night, celebrating every hand that helped build this brand.
Our collection for the show was a bold, 41-piece tribute to the streets of Manila, featuring a carefully curated color palette of blue, white, and black. We pushed the boundaries of streetwear by experimenting with denim in all its forms—denim bras, jackets, cropped tops, soccer jerseys, dresses, and more. Each piece carried the raw, unapologetic spirit of the streets that inspire us daily.
In a special highlight, we also had the chance to showcase our past creations in the "Time Machine Collection." This collection took us on a nostalgic journey, revisiting some of our favorite designs that helped shape our identity over the years. It was a beautiful reminder of how far we've come and a celebration of our growth as a brand.
The runway was divided into three standout categories: the Black Collection, the Light Collection, and the Blue Collection. Each category told a story of its own while staying true to the essence of Manila street culture. And then there were the 1-of-1 pieces—hand-painted denim jackets, jumpsuits, twill jackets, and more. These unique items gave the audience a glimpse into our passion for turning streetwear into wearable art.
The night wouldn't have been complete without celebrating with those who inspire us. We invited celebrities and influencers to share in the experience, and the energy reached new heights with performances by hip-hop and R&B icons Because, Illest Morena and Deny, who set the runway on fire.
"The Fifth" is more than just a collection; it’s a symbol of five years of grit, creativity, and the courage to dream big. It reflects the growth we've achieved and promises even more to come. As we look ahead, one thing is certain—this is just the beginning. The streets of Manila will continue to inspire us, and we'll keep pushing the boundaries of streetwear, one piece at a time.
